Two Seasons of Autocross Under It's Belt
93 EG Hatch Build

The Civic has completed almost two full seasons of auto cross without any major issues and has been an absolute blast to drive. I’ve been slowly making changes to it so I could see how each change feels and at this point I think it’s about perfect for my driving style.

A Custom Rear Hitch To Haul My Mini Bike

I recently built a mini bike and needed a way to haul it around with my 93 Civic hatch. Even though the bike is small enough that it’d fit inside the Civic, I’d have to lay it sideways and I didn’t like that because it could potentially leak oil or gas so I figured my best option would be to use a hitch cargo tray.

ASR 24mm Rear Sway Bar and Brace Install

After having ran several autocross events with the Civic, I felt it was time to add a rear sway bar. The Civic was handling good on the course but I didn’t care for the understeer it had and adding a rear sway bar would be the easiest way to take care of that.

Revival of the Hatch Part 23: The Final Push To Get It Road Legal

Wrapping up the Civic has not been an easy task. The to-do list is basically finished at this point, but since I’ve started taking it on short test drives I’ve uncovered a few issues that need to be fixed.

Revival of the Hatch Part 22: Dyeing the Rear Interior and Running Fuel Lines for the First Start

After 9 months of work the Civic is just about done! It feels pretty weird knowing I’ll be shifting focus to another project after spending so much time on it. I’m not 100% sure what I’ll pivot to next, but I’m most likely going to work on the Integra next as it needs a major tune up to be ready for the 2024 autocross season.

93 EG Hatch Build

The two biggest lessons I’ve learned from all the wiring I’ve been doing on the Civic are to always double check your work at each step, and try to wire at a desk whenever possible instead of kneeling next to, or inside a car.

Revival of the Hatch Part 20: Wiring Some DIY Headlight / Radiator Relay Harnesses and Power Door Harnesses
93 EG Hatch Build

Planning out how to wire up the headlights and radiator fan took some time as my new fan had a higher amp rating which meant I couldn’t use the stock wiring, and the Denji headlights also required beefier wiring since the low beam bulbs are 55 watt.

Revival of the Hatch Part 19: The New Duckbill
93 EG Hatch Build

In an effort to knock down the size of my TODO list I’ve been trying to wrap up the exterior of the car. Plus with how close the exterior is to being done I’ve been itching to see how the car is gonna look all buttoned up.

Revival of the Hatch Part 18: Finalizing the New Brakes
93 EG Hatch Build

The brakes are officially finished on the car and I figured it was time to post up an overview of them. Previously the car had DX brakes with drums in the rear that were a horrible eyesore, but since I had been wanting brakes with more oomph, it was a no brainer to switch over to a full EX / Integra setup.

Revival of the Hatch Part 17: Cleaning up the Cabin Harness and Installing Hood Pins
93 EG Hatch Build

The cabin harness has been giving me some grief because there’s too much wiring underneath where the dash will sit and it’s preventing the HVAC system from fitting. The main issue is that since the engine is wired up via a standalone engine harness there’s a lot of unused connectors and wires sitting inside the cabin.
