The Correct Distributor Cap For the B18C1 (GSR) TD-68U / TD-84U

The TD-68U and TD-84U distributors found in OBD1 and OBD2 94-01 Integra GSRs are different in size than other B-Series distributors and require a special distributor cap.

I’m currently building a B20V with a GSR head and had a lot of trouble sourcing the correct distributor cap because of this. There’s several aftermarket brands out there that claim to fit but the only cap that I’ve found to actually work is the OEM Honda 30102-P72-006 cap.

If you try and install a non-VTEC cap on the GSR distributor you’ll find it’s too short and won’t fit.

For reference here’s an OEM GSR cap on the left compared to a aftermarket cap on the right.

I was hesistant to buy an OEM cap because they’re about $60 a piece but after spending more than that on two aftermarket units while trying to find the right one I think it’s worth it.

In summary, stick with an OEM 30102-P72-006 cap for the GSR distributor.
